You can probably tell from most of the photos I post here that I love nature and most weekends we do wind up going hiking or at the very least walking around the neighborhood. But I decided I wanted to do something different the past few weekends so I visited some local antique stores.
I wasn’t really interested in buying anything big. The main thing I was looking for was vintage silverware that I could use in my food photography. But these stores had so many interesting and weird items, I could have walked around for hours! Unluckily, I got there an hour before closing time both times. I am definitely going to have to go back earlier next time.
But I’m glad I took my camera with me because I found so many pretty and/or interesting things to take pictures of and I’m really happy with how they came out. Besides, as much as I love taking pictures of flowers and nature, it’s fun to branch out into a totally different subject matter. I’ll be posting the rest of the pictures throughout the week.

Ohhhh Look at all of the pretty vintage dinnerware! I keep meaning to go looking in antique shops but I have such an internal struggle when it comes buying photo props. I want my photos to look pretty, but I hate clutter and don’t want to end up with a bunch of mismatched pieces that I only use for photos.
