God's Acre

The graveyard, called God’s Acre, in Old Salem. People were buried according to their “choir” instead of their family. A choir was basically just a group of people that were the same age/gender/martial status. (Young boys/girls, Married Men/Women, etc.) Very interesting. But it sounds like they spent most of their time with their choir members, so I guess that would still be like being buried with your family.

It was so pretty out there. Why else would it be called God’s Acre.
